Career Research

In the last two assignments I came to an understanding that higher education is a necessity in today's world to secure a good paying job. A higher education opens more doors that would not be available in a average high school diploma. In this assignment we were given a website to do our research on. This website proved to be highly useful in searching for jobs or finding information. here is the link to the website: www.bls.gov/. The Financial difference between a higher education and high school only is highly noticeable. This assignment has reminded me of the importance that higher education has. According to the 2010 Census 30.6% of New York's population holds a bachelors degree or higher.

Podcasts

In this assignment I learned that welcoming guests into your business adds a personal feeling. Podcasts and personal greetings affect how consumers feel towards the company. The greets add a very personal feeling which attracts new consumers to not only return but recommend your business or site.

QR Codes

In this assignment I learned that there are shorter ways to access pages in shorter time. Qr codes create a little box that allow your phone to scan using a camera. creating a sort of shortcut your phone is able to gather information from a code on the web or a magazine.

Privacy Issues  & Revenue Models             

Revenue Models describe and build on how a company or store generates its income. What knowledge I gained from doing this assignment is that revenue models are needed to comprehend the companies income and outcome, instead of just looking at pages and books of numbers.

Private Policy  is best described as a set of rules that all consumers must abide You must accept the terms before being able to do anything on the sites, apps and many more products. Agreeing to terms signify you have knowledge of anything they can legally do. What I learned from this assignment is that there is more behind to what you agree to and sometimes it can be harmful.

History of The World Wide Web

In this assignment I learned more facts about how the internet was made. Researching a lot of things we use in our everyday lives today I notice the work put in to making these sites work.Since the beginning of the world wide web, many technological advantages have been made and will continue to prosper. In doing this assignment I ran into some technical trouble with the original timeline site we were assigned to use. Overcoming it my timeline was successfully created.

How I use the Internet

Using the web for a week I usually use internet every twenty minutes. Accessible at arms reach my phone connects me to the internet in only a matter of seconds. Checking on social media i am updated to what my friends are up to and how they are living. I am usually on Instagram among other medias.
I believe using the internet doesn't necessarily mean wasting time I am productive even while texting or checking my media feeds.
